The fourth annual junior football competition in memory of Pádraig Barton will be played next week.

The five-a-side competition and final for under-14 year olds will be played at the Gasyard Centre pitches between 6.00pm and 8.00pm on Thursday next, 7 August.

To enter, contact Charlie McMenamin at Gasyard Centre on 71261916.

Teams from all areas are welcome and entry is free.

Being held as part of the Gasyard  Féile 2014, the competition is being organised by the Bogside and Brandywell  Monument Committee in memory of Pádraig Barton, the 18-year-old member of Ogra Shinn Fein who died a day after he was struck by a car as he walked along Letterkenny Road close to Nixon’s Corner on 6 June, 2010.
