Parents are being warned about the availability of a new “legal high” being supplied in Strabane.
The PSNI say they have located a number of empty packets of psychoactive substances (legal highs) including “MD,” one never seen by police in the town before.
The packets (pictured above and right) include “Magic Dragon” which is sold as a chemical infused potpourri.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “The packets are covered with warnings, similar to a bottle of bleach, regarding consumption, inhalation, eyes and pregnancy.
“It appears that these packets were being opened and then divided into the smaller polythene bags.
“This would indicate a form of low level supply were profit is being made by dividing the substances up and selling them on.”
The spokesman urged parents to look out for such substances and related items which he said were “readily available and legal at present.”
