DERRY CITY TO FACE MALAHIDE IN FAI CUP THIRD ROUND

Derry_City_FC_logoDerry City have been drawn at home to play Leinster Senior League side Malahide AFC from Dublin in the third round of the FAI Cup.

The game will take place on the weekend of August 22-24.

In the draw, made during the FAI’s annual meeting and Festival of Football week in Mullingar, City’s North West neighbours were pulled out of the hat to face Wexford Youths.

Other ties are:

St. Michael’s vs. Avondale United

Ballynanty Rovers vs. Drogheda United

Cork City vs. Bohemians

St. Pat’s Athletic vs. Shelbourne

Dundalk vs. Galway

Shamrock Rovers vs. Longford Town

Quarter-finals will take place on the weekend of 14 September and the semi-finals on Sunday, 5 October, with the final fixed for the Aviva Stadium on Sunday, 2 November.
