Cllr McGuire said: “I have been lobbying on behalf of residents of Fyfin Road  in Victoria Bridge to have their kitchens replaced and very much welcome the announcement their homes will be included as part of a wider 50-60 kitchen replacement scheme which is to be rolled out throughout the district later this year.

“The contractor has been appointed and residents should be contacted in the near future to decide on the kitchen type they want.

“I also very much welcome confirmation that Housing Executive homes in Killeter will undergo an ECM later this year and the improvement works to be undertaken will include to roofs, fascias, windows, porches and fences.”

Cllr McGuire concluded: “Both these schemes are long overdue and residents will undoubetedly looking forward to their commencement and completion.”
