Darren Heaney (12) was best of the field on a high scoring day in the popular weekly Thursday Open at City of Derry, his 43 points that included a blank on the par three “Quarry”giving him a one shot cushion over second placed Dan Hinds (2).
Dan also carded the best gross of 67 shots, a remarkable 32 on the back nine with five birdies, three pars and a double bogey six on “Aintree.”
Conor Wisener (11) continued his recent good form with 41 points and third place thanks to a favourable break of tie over fourth placed Conrad Smith (16).
Oisin O Doherty (15) made a worthwhile visit from Moyola Park to take the best visitors prize with 38 points.
