HARPS HOPING TO RAMBLE PAST COBH

Finn Harps manager Ollie Horgan.

Finn Harps entertain Airtricity Division One basement boys Cobh Ramblers tonight at Finn Park – hoping they can make it three wins in a row for the first time this season.

Harps have started the third series of games in great fashion, winning at home against Waterford United before defeating Shamrock Rovers B team last week in Tallaght 1-0 despite ending the match with 9 men.

Ollie Horgan will be without Michael Funston who received a straight red card following an off the ball altercation.

Sean McCarron also saw red after picking up two yellow cards in quick succession on Sunday.

However, McCarron is likely to miss out the following week when Harps host Galway United at Finn Park.

Damien McNulty is expected to return to Harps starting line-up in place of Funston, while it’s expected if McCarron is ruled out that Paul McVeigh will partner Kevin McHugh in attack.

Harps have no other injury concerns heading into the clash and will be confident they can get another crucial three points.

A win would see Harps right back in the mix-up for promotion.

Tommy McMonagle may be added to the match-day squad if his international clearance has come through in time.

Marc Brolly who had been training with Harps and was expected to sign, has not been offered a contract by Horgan.

Tonight’s other fixtures:

Airtricity Premier Division

Athlone Town v Limerick FC

Drogheda United v Cork City

Bohemians v St Patrick’s Athletic

Airtricity First Division

Galway FC v Shamrock Rovers

Shelbourne v Waterford United

Wexford Youths v Longford Town
