Picket lines are being staged at a number of public buildings in Derry by staff staging a one day strike.
Local members of the Unite, GMB, NIPSA and Unison trade unions are taking part in industrial action organised throughout the North, England and Wales in protest at a one per cent pay increase offered to them by the government.
As a result, many of Derry’s public run facilities will be closed today.

The city’s top tourist attractions – the Guildhall and Tower and Foyle Valley Museums – will be closed as will Templemore Sports Complex, City Swimming Baths and Brooke Park Leisure Centre.
The collection of bins throughout the city has been re-scheduled with black bins due to be emptied in the Waterside now being emptied tomorrow.
Blue bins due to be emptied today on the cityside were emptied yesterday.
A spokesperson for Derry City Council said the local authority would endeavour to ensure any disruption was kept to a minimum.
Housing Executive staff are also taking part in the strike and they are expected to take to picket lines at offices the Richmond Centre, Collon Terrace and Horace Street.
Among the offices being picketed are those of Derry City Council on Strand Road and the Housing Executive in the Richmond Chambers.

However, Bishop’s Field Sports Centre and 3G pitch in Creggan will be open as normal.
Lisnagelvin Leisure Centre in the Waterside will remain open to facilitate summer scheme swimming lessons.
The Dog Pound at Pennyburn will be staffed by one person, who will be based at the kennels to undertake dog kennelling duties.
