A Derry bride’s “big day” is one she will definitely remember after her favourite Hollywood actress turned up at her wedding reception.

Máire O’Flynn and her new husband Peter, were celebrating at the Lough Eske Castle Hotel in Donegal Sarah Jessica Parker – famous for her fancy, fun and whimsical life as Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City – turned up at the hotel for a meal with her husband, Matthew Broderick, and some friends.

And the glamorous star, who owns a holiday home in Kilcar, Co. Donegal, took the time to pose for a photograph with the delighted bride and complimented her on how well she looked, before wishing her all the best for the future.

Maire, from Limavady, said: “She said  I looked beautiful and hoped that I was having a great day.

“She also mentioned that my bridesmaid looked fabulous, which was great.”

Máire added: “It was a nice addition to the day and added a bit of celebrity status to the occasion.”
