Institute celebrate winning the Championship title and promotion to the Premier Division.

Institute have announced a number of pre-season friendlies ahead of their return to the Danske Bank Irish League Premiership.

The Drumahoe club gained promotion to the top division for the first time in six years in a dramatic final day of the Championship, their 2-0 victory over North West neighbours Limavady United taking Paul Kee’s side up as champions.

Bangor went into the last day knowing a win over Harland and Wolff Welders would won them the title but they could only manage a draw at Clandeboye Park.

The Drumahoe club will kick off pre-season when “mixed squads” taking on Lisburn Distillery and Newtowne on Saturday week.

Games arranged to date are:

Saturday, 5 July: Lisburn Distillery, at Limavady Showgrounds (mixed squad), kick-off 3.00pm

Saturday, 5 July: Newtowne, at Scroggy Road, Limavady (mixed squad), kick-off 3.00pm.

Saturday, 19 July: Limavady United, at Limavady Showgrounds (first team), kick-off 2.00pm

Saturday, 19July: Moyola Park, at Moyola (second team), kick-off 3.00pm

Saturday, 26 July: Portstewart, at Portstewart (first team), kick-off 3.00pm

Saturday, 26 July: Glebe Rangers, at Drumahoe (second team), kick-off 2.00pm.

Season tickets are now available.

Priced £120 (adults), £85 (concessionary) and £40 (student), they are available from from the Coffee Stop in Drumahoe.
