A man was knocked unconscious when he was assaulted in the Waterside area of Derry in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The man was one of two men assaulted by a group of unknown males close to a fast food takeaway on Spencer Road at approximately 2.30am.
Both suffered minor head injuries and one lost consciousness for a period of time
Police in the city have appealed for information about the incident.
A PSNI spokesperson asked anyone with information to telephone the police non-emergency number 101.
