northwestgolfclubA large turnout to support the 3 T’s charity on Saturday saw Declan Bradley (11) secure his first win of the season with a splendid score of 40 points playing off the back markers.

Two over gross on the front nine reaped 22 points, the form continued on the back nine and with 17 holes played Declan had 40 points safely tucked away, he then somehow managed to blank the 18th but fortunatly had done enough to secure victory.

Declan now goes to Slieve Russell for the regional final alongside the laides’ winner Marie McLaughlin, both of whom will be joined by the club captain Bosco Reid and the lady captain Muireanna Friel.

In second place was steady Eddie himself , Eddie Hegarty (14) who, after nine holes, had a modest score of 17 pts, but stepped up a gear and over the next eight holes  accummulated another 22 pts, and like the winner somehow managed to also blank the 18th hole when a double-bogey would of given him victory.

In third place was the consistant Ronan McLaughlin (10) with 39 pts.

Full result:

1st Declan Bradley (11) 40 pts

2nd Eddie Hegarty (14) 39 pts

3rd Ronan McLaughlin (10) 39 pts

C.S.S. 35 pts.

The 3 T’s charity is an organisation set up to try and reduce the number of suicides that sadly take place each year in Ireland. The patron of the charity is Padraig Harrington.

3 T’s stands for Turn The Tide of Suicide. a very special charity that does amazing work.
