The main Derry to Buncrana cross-border road will be closed to traffic tomorrow to facilitate the £395,000 road improvements scheme.
The resurfacing scheme of a 1.14km stretch of the road from Skeoge Roundabout to the N13 in the Republic began two weeks ago.
Most of the work is being undertaken between 7.00pm and 7.00am however the works necessitate the road being closed tomorrow from 8.00am to 11.00pm.
Diversions will be signposted with traffic travelling towards Derry being diverted from the Buncrana Road roundabout at Bridgend via R238 Buncrana Road, R239 Burnfoot to Muff Road in the Republic and A1002 Culmore Road, A515 Madam’s Bank Road and A515 Skeoge Link Road in Northern Ireland.
Traffic travelling towards Buncrana and Letterkenny will be diverted using a similar route.
Temporary traffic control measures including “stop-go boards” will also be in operation.
Access will be maintained for residents and businesses.
The work is expected to be completed by 10 June.
