POLICE HUNT YOUTHS AFTER ROSSVILLE STREET BILLBOARD SET ON FIRE

Van torcedPolice in Derry are appealing for information after a report of criminal damage in the Rossville Street area in the early hours of this morning.

Shortly after 12.55am, it was reported that a billboard in the area was set on fire.

A PSNI spokesperson said a number of youths were seen running from the area at the time of the incident.

The spokesperson appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information to contact police at Strand Road Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.

The spokesperson added: “Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
