garda-tape-crime-scene11Gardai investigating the disappearance of two Dublin men have discovered the bodies of two males on an island in Co Meath.

Eoin O Connor (32) and Anthony Keegan (33) were last seen on the evening of the 22 April at Kilbarron Avenue, Coolock in Dubiln,

Both men are believed to have travelled together to the Cavan area in a silver Ford Focus car which was later found at the viewing car park Lough Owel, just off the N4 near Mullingar in Westmeath.

The bodies were discovered on the island of Lough Sheelin at approximately 4.30pm this afternoon.

The area has been sealed off and a Garda spokesperson stressed the bodies had not been identified and Gardai were awaiting the arrival of the State Pathologist to carry out a forensic examination.
