Ruairi Keating: brought Harps level.

Finn Harps 1 Shelbourne 1

Finn Harps grabbed an impressive share of the spoils against high-flying Shelbourne in the SSE Airtricity Division One at Finn Park last night.

Despite going behind to the Dublin outfit, Ollie Horgan’s side battled back to shock the visitors with an equaliser midway through the second-half.

Harps’ task was made more than an uphill one after just 15 minutes when Josh Mailey was red-carded.

Shels had a lot of possession but failed to convert this into any real worthwhile chances in the opening period.

Five minutes before the break, the visitors almost made the breakthrough when Cashin stole the ball from Keith Cowan but struck the post.

The table-toppers didn’t have to wait long for the opener when Lee Desmond netted just two minutes into the second-half.

But despite being a man down, Harps fought back and teenager Ruairi Keating brough them level in the 67th minute.
