Finn Harps were denied a much sought after win by a late Galway equaliser in the Airtricity Division One at Eamon Deacy Park last night.

Harps were forced to play an hour of the game with 10 men after Caoimhinn Bonner was brandished a straight red card for what referee Eoghan O’Shea deemed a wreckless challenge on Ryan Manning in the 30th minute.

Ruairi Keating had put the Harps in front in the 56th minute and Ollie Horgan’s side appeared to be heading to collect three valuable points when Sinnott struck for Galway in the dying minutes.

Galway FC: Connor Gleeson, Colm Horgan (Vinny Fahery 61), Alex Byrne, Martin Conneely, Marc Ludden; Marty Owens (Gary Shanahan 8), Paul Sinnott, Ryan Connolly, Ryan Manning; Derek O’Brien; Jake Keegan.

Finn Harps: Shaun Patton; Caoimhinn Bonner, Packie Mailey, Keith Cowan, Ciaran Coll (Tommy Boonar 80), Damien McNulty; Michael Funston, Pat McCann, Josh Mailey, Sean McCarron; Ruairi Keating (Paul McVeigh 86).

Referee: Eoghan O’Shea (Tipperary).
