HEALTHCOMPLAINTSMembers of the public in Derry are being invited to take part in an initiative aimed at improving how complaints are handled in the health and social care sector.

The Health and Social Care Board wants people who live within the Western Health and Social Care Trust area to attend a public focus group taking place in Derry next month.

The purpose of the focus group  – taking place in St Columb’s Park House, Limavady Road on Monday, 9 June at 200pm – will be to seek the views and opinions of those who have made complaints across the health and social care system since 1 April 2009, or those who wanted to complain, but did not.

Anyone interested in attending needs to register in advance by telephoning 028 9536 3893 or email [email protected] by 23 May next.

A spokesperson for the Western Health and Social Care Trust said: “If you are unable to come along to the focus group but would like to provide comments, please email [email protected] and include your contact details if you would like us to respond to you.”
