Rev McAteer receives the Best Magazine prize from Most Rev Richard Lionel Clarke, Archbishop of Armagh.

A Derry and Raphoe diocesan publication has been voted “Best Diocesan Magazine” by the Church of Ireland.

N:Vision, edited by Revd Katie McAteer, is delivered to diocesan homes with 12,000 copies of every edition printed and distributed.

The judges said the publication was an “outstanding magazine” in terms of design, identity and content.

A spokesperson for the Derry and Raphoe diocese said they were “absolutely delighted” to win the prize.

The spokesperson added: “It is a great team effort. We are especially pleased for Rev Katie McAteer who has just taken over as editor. The prize was awarded for her very first edition.”

The competition was run by the Church of Ireland Press Office but externally and professionally judged.

The winners of the Central Communications Board 2014 Communications Competition for the best magazines, newsletters, websites were announced by the the Rt Revd Trevor Williams, Bishop of Limerick and chairperson of the Central Communications Board, at the General Synod held in Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin.

Rev McAteer was presented with the award by Most Rev Richard Lionel Clarke, Archbishop of Armagh.
