Bishop of Derry Most Rev Dr Donal McKeown will be the main celebrant of a Mass to be broadcast live on RTE television this weekend.
Bishop McKeown will also preach the homily of the Mass which will be screened from the RTE Studios in Dublin at 11.00am on Sunday.
Music for the ceremony will be provided by the choir from Maynooth College.
Sunday is World Day of Prayer for Vocations, also known as Vocations Sunday or Good Shepherd Sunday and is being celebrated this year on the theme ‘Vocations: Witness to the Truth.”
Sunday’s Mass for Vocations is being coordinated by Sister Moira Bergin from the National Centre for Liturgy in Maynooth.
