A woman has been killed in a road collision involving a bus on the main Derry to Letterkenny road this afternoon.
The accident occurred just after 3.30pm in the townland of Ardee near Newtowncunningham.
It understood the woman was in a car which was involved in a collision with a Bus Eireann bus.
Three children are believed to have been in the car. Their condition is not known.
The road is closed to allow Gardai accident investigators to carry out a detail examination of the scene.
Traffic diversions are in place and Gardai are advising motorists to seek alternative routes where possible.
