The Housing Executive (HE) has appointed a new Assistant Housing Services Manager in its Magherafelt office.

Declan McAllister has been with the HE for 12 years.

He began his career as a graduate trainee and over the years has worked in a variety of departments including Housing Policy, Private Sector Improvement Services, Secretariat and District Office.

Most recently, Declan was the Assistant Regional Planner for the North Region, working there for eight years.

Speaking about his appointment, he said: “I want to ensure the continued delivery of a comprehensive housing service to the residents of Magherafelt and build upon the reputation of the local office in its delivery of a high standard of service.

“I aim to build on the already well-established good working relationships the office has with our tenants, network of local community groups and elected representatives.”

Mairead Myles Davey, Area Manager for the HE East Area, said Mr McAllister’s “extensive experience” in the Housing Executive would add depth to an already excellent team.

She addied: “Our tenants and customers can rest assured the high standard of service they have come to expect from the East Area will continue.”
