A clean up of some of Strabane’s most ailing buildings has been welcomed.
Patrick Leonard, SDLP Sperrin candidate in the forthcoming election, said the two was no benefiting from a recent £200,000 cash injection secured through the Department of Environment’s Dereliction Programme.
“It is great to see some of the vacant buildings receive a fresh coat of paint and shop front improvements.
“It has been important to address the issue of derelict and vacant properties.
“Hopefully, this creates an opportunity to attract local investment at a much needed time and also improve the character of the town.”
