Police in G District have presented cheques to two local good causes as a result of an anti-drugs operation in the city.

Following the arrests of drugs suspects and the seizure of assets, a car used by them was auctioned following a court order.

The amount raised, £1,939, has been divided equally between North West Counselling and HURT (Have Your Tomorrows), a support group for those with drug and alcohol problems and their families.

Inspector Alan Hutton is pictured presenting a cheque to Rosemary Morton and Dawn Cairns, of North West Counselling, and to Sadie O’Reilly of HURT (Have Your Tomorrows) a support group for those with drug and alcohol problems and also their families.
