Barry Cash celebrates last year’s Cheltenahm win on “Big Shu.”

Derry-owned racehorse “Big Shu” is the favourite for a repeat victory at the Cheltenham Festival this afternoon.

Best odds on the gelding to repeat last year’s win in the Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Chase are 5/1.

The race, two be run over three miles and seven furlongs, will “go off” at 4.00pm.

The nine year old, owned Hugh Duffy of the well-known Duffy bookmaking family, was brought home last year by jockey Barry Cash.

However this time round “Big Shu,” described by its owner as  the “Paul McGrath of National Hunt racing,” will be partnered by leading Irish jockey Paul Carberry.

If all goes well this afternoon, he could be entered in the Grand National taking place at Aintree on
