NFL DIV ONE…. DERRY’S LUNCHTIME CLASH IN CORK WILL BE NO PICNIC IN PAIRC UI RINN

Derry’s senior footballers make the long trip south for today’s lunchtime throw-in at Pairc Ui Rinn against table toppers Cork, determined to maintain their unbeaten start in the Allianz National Football League Division One.

Derry boss Brian McIver has made only one change to the side that impressively dismissed the challenge of Westmeath last Sunday.

Veteran midfielder Patsy Bradley, who came on as an early second-half substitute during last week’s win in Celtic Park, replaces Benny Heron who drops to the bench.

Cork top the table with three wins from their three games, while Derry are just a point behind in second spot.

The Leesiders have defeated Kildare, Westmeath and Dublin while Derry have recorded wins over Westmeath and Kerry and drawn with Tyrone.
