A man escaped injury in a shooting incident in the Waterside area of Derry last night.
A shot was fired at the front door of a house in Lincoln Court area at around 11.15pm.
One man, aged in his 40s, was in the house at the time. He was not injured in the incident.
It is believed that the man who fired the shot may have made off in the direction of the Brigade roundabout.
Detectives investigating the shooting have asked anyone with any information to contact CID in Strand Road Police Station on 0845 600 8000.
