The call comes from Sinn Féin Councillor Elisha McCallion.

Cllr McCallion, was speaking after hearing the concerns of residents in the area.

She aid the safety of those living in the estate was “paramount.”

She added: “Roads Service should consider introducing some form of traffic calming in the Bracken Park area.

“In such a compact busy street minimising the risk is vital.

“A lot of young children play in the street here and we need to ensure the risk of being injured is decreased.”

Cllr McCallion concluded: “A few miles per hour can make all the difference in road traffic accidents.”
