City of Derry Spartan Greg Roberts strolled to victory in the second race in the Lifford AC 5k series run in Raphoe, Co Donegal, yesterday.

Roberts crossed the line with almost a minute spare, recording a time of 16.11 to finish ahead of Letterkenny AC’s Pauric Breslin, winner of race one in the series, who post 17.08.
City of Derry’s Michael Murphy was only a second behind in finishing third in 17:09.
Another City of Derry runner Benny Mullan, a podium finisher in the first race at St Johnston/Carrigans, narrowly missed out on this occasion finishing a further second behind in fourth on a time of 17.10.
Young Derry City Track Club star Zach McGowan recorded 19.07 to finish in 16th place.
Hannah McGowan (Derry City Track Club) secured third place with a time of 21.32 in the ladies’ race which was won by Lifford AC’s Claire McGuigan in 18.52.
