Shots were fired at a flat in the Waterside of Derry last night, police in the city have said.
In the incident, three shots were fired at a window of an upstairs flat in Heron Way.
No one was in the flat at the time and no one was injured in the incident.
A PSNI spokesperson said the incident was reported to police this morning but may have happened sometime during the night.
The spokesperson asked anyone who could help police with their enquiries to telephone 0845 600 8000.
