Steohen O’Flynn.

Goals from Michael McCrudden (2), Darren McCauley (2), Robbie Hume and Paddy McLaughlin earned the Derry men a comfortable win over today’s opponents at Drumahoe earlier in the season

Kee will be boosted with the return of midfield trio Aaron Walsh, Michael McCrudden and Gary Henderson but will have to do without the services of new signing, Cork man Stephen O’Flynn, who is still awaiting international clearance.

The 31-year-old striker has signed until the end of the season having come out of retirement.

Capped for Ireland at under-age levels, O’Flynn had spells at Cork City (twice) and Limerick before Stephen Kenny took him to Derry City in 2005,

During his time a Brandywell, he scored nine goals in 48 apperances for the  Candy Stripes including an historic winner against against IFK Göteborg in the 2006–07 UEFA Cup in August 2006.

However, following the arrival Pat Fenlon, he was released by Derry in December 2006 and after a brief spell at Galway United he returned to Limerick until the end of the 2009 season.

There, O’Flynn made an impact in the First Division. scoring 14 goals in just 13 appearances which resulted in him being named in the Division One 2009 team of the year.

In January 2010, he signed for English Division Two side Northampton Town but was released by the Cobblers when his contract ran out that summer.

After another spell at Limerick, he joined Premier Division side St.Patrick’s Athletic in January 2012, scoring on his first start away to Dundalk in a 2-0 win.

While at Inchicore, he again found the next in Europe, this time netting a crucial away goal against Íþróttabandalag Vestmannaeyja in the 2012–13 UEFA Europa League.

He announced his retirement on Monday 25 February last year.
