A man, believed to be armed with a gun, held up staff at the Labrokes office at Central Drive in Creggan.

It is the fourth Ladbrokes betting office to robbed in the city within the last 12 days.

The first hold up took place at Racecourse Road in Shantallow followed by the robbery the Collon office during which two shots were fired.

On Stephen’s Day a masked man armed with a knife got away with a sum of money following a robbery at Elmwood Street at around 5.10pm.

Sinn Féin Councillor Patricia Logue has slammed those responsible.

She said anyone with information on whoever carried out the robberies should contact police.

SDLP MLA Mark H Durkan also condemned those responsible.

Describing the robberies as “terrifying” for staff he said the “perpetrators must be caught.”

Following the first two robberies, Ladbrokes said it would carry out a review of security at its Derry offices.
