Derry City Council has issued arrangements for all its facilities during the holiday period.binlorry

Opening times and rescheduled bin collections are now available to view at the Council website at www.derrycity.gov.uk/openinghours.

Mayor Cllr Martin Reilly said the website was a great way to view the festive arrangements for all Council related services in one place.

He said: “We want to ensure that the public have all of the information on hand relating to refuse collection, recycling centres, leisure centres, heritage and museum facilities, dog kennels and cemeteries and to check before you visit any of these amenities to ensure they are open.:

The Civic Offices on the Strand Road will be closed from Christmas Eve and will open again for usual business on Monday 30 December.

In relation to Council’s refuse collection service, information stickers have been attached to all household bins outlining the precise arrangements regarding Christmas and New Year refuse collections.

An outline summary of amendments to the festive period service is available through the designated section on the website www.derrycity.gov.uk/openinghours or by contacting 028 71 365151 or for specific requirements relating to household bin collections, contact Waste Management on 02871 374107.
