A stone attack on a bus travelling through Ballymagroarty estate in Derry has been condemned by a local Sinn Fein councillor.
Cllr Eric McGinley said incident, in which a bus window was smashed, not only resulted in the withrdrawal of buses from the area but could have led to serious injury or even worse.
He added: “Those involved in this incident deserve no consideration whatsoever and should be brought to account for their actions as quickly as possible.”
Cllr McGinley concluded: “This type of activity is a blight on the local area, does not reflect the true worth of the community and those responsible should be given the loud and clear message that they are not wanted.”
