PUBLIC TO QUESTION WESTERN HEALTH TRUST AT “ACCOUNTABILITY” MEETING

Members of the public will next week  get the opportunity to question the performance and future plans of health services in the North West.Altnagelvin

The Western Health and Social Care Trust is holA “Public Facing Accountability” meeting on Wednesday week, 27 November, at 7.00pm in Lecture Theatre 1, MDEC Building at Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry.

At the meeting, to be chaired by the Patient and Client Council, Health Minister Edwin Poots will question Trust Board members while members of the public will will also have an opportunity to have questions asked on their behalf.

The meeting is aimed at providing an opportunity for the Western Trust to be held to account by the Minister around issues of public interest and serve to raise public awareness of the important work of the Trust.

During the meeting, the Western Trust will give a short presentation on its performance over the last year and its outlook for the future.

The Minister will then proceed with a question and answer session on the performance of WHSCT and on issues of public interest.

The audience will also be given the opportunity to submit additional questions to be answered by WHSCT at the end of the session.
