During 2013, the Nerve Centre’s Resonate project, in association with Blast Furnace Recording Studio, has been capturing the amazing musical talent, energy and spirit that exists in Derry.nervecentre

Now local bands and musicians have the chance to win £1,000 worth of Henderson Music vouchers and an exclusive slot on the Resonate Album of the Year by entering the Resonate Music Video Contest.

Entrants simply have to upload a YouTube or Vimeo video link to an original track. As well as the main prize, the contest is looking for the “best live performance,” “best bedroom recording,” “catchiest track” and “outstanding lyrics award.”

Judges include Stephen McCauley, Radio Foyle’s champion of new music.

Pearse Moore, chief executive of the Nerve Centre, said: ‘This is the latest opportunity available to local musicians through the Resonate project. Music videos can be professional productions or simply you playing in your bedroom. We don’t mind, we just want to hear your music!’

Prize sponsorship for the Music Video Contest has been provided by the National Lottery and Henderson Music, one of Ireland’s leading suppliers of musical instruments.

Further information and how to enter go  www.nervecentre.org/resonate.
