A QUARTER CENTURY OF BOASTING FOR THIS SLAUGHTMANUS LINE-UP

THERE were some dodgy moustaches, some receding hairlines and the odd (very odd) beer belly.

But this line-up of Slaughtmanus stars from 1988 was packed full of stars, some heading for retirement, others just starting out.

The combination of youth and experience brought the club the Intermediate title that year.

And last night in Tamnaherin those gaelic footballers from a quarter century ago went down memory lane.

Jude McGuinness was captain that year.

And he was joined by a talented bunch of Connors, Barrs, O’Kanes, Rushs, Grieves and others.
