BRANDYWELL GREYHOUND RACING: INISHOWEN QUEEN SPRINTS TO SUCCESS

Inishowen Queen proved its favourite’s tag in taking the Monday Sprint Final, the feature race at last night’s greyhound meeting at Brandywell Stadium last night.Irish Derby Greyhound Racing 9/9/2006

The Patrick Harkin owned and trained 4/6 favourite recorded a time of 17.06 seconds and had four lengths to spare from second placed Farloe Kate, owned and trained by Anthony Loughrey.

The results of last night’s seven-card meeting were:

Race 1 (300 yards): 1, Santro Will 2/1; 2, Aero Spartacus 2/1. Favourite: John New Girl 4/5. Time: 17.30. Distance: a short head.

Race 2 Monday Sprint Final (300 yards): 1, Inishowen Queen 4/6 fav; 2, Farloe Kate 5/2. Time: 17.06. Distance: 4 lengths.

Race 3 (300 yards): 1, Eden Scolari 2/1 fav; 2, Macsruso 5/2. Time: 17.04. Distance: 2.25 lengths.

Race 4 50 Club 500 (500 yards): 1, Dynamo Millar 5/2 fav; 2, Count On Kay 3/1. Time: 28.48. Distance: 2 lengths.

Race 5 (500 yards): 1, Fernisky Quinn 2/1 fav; 2, Mullan Tippy 3/1. Time: 28.76. Distance: 3 lengths.

Race 6 (500 yards): 1, Sticky Yee 3/1; 2, On the Snaff 5/2. Favourite: River Spirit 5/4. Time: 29.42. Distance: one length.

Race 7 (300 yards): 1, Kirstys Image 3/1; 2, Vintage Me 6/4 fav. Time: 17.00. Distance: half a length.
