BRANDYWELL GREYHOUND RACING: MILLIE MAE BOY TOO GOOD IN THURSDAY 500 FINAL

Lillie Mais Boy came home first to clinch the Thursday 500 Final, the feature race at Brandywell Stadium last night.Irish Derby Greyhound Racing 9/9/2006

Owned and trained by Michael Feeney, from Co. Cork, the 2/1 favourite recorded a time of 29.18 seconds to win by a length from Smurfing Mary, owned and trained by Eunan McBride, from Donegal.

The results from the seven-card meeting:

Race 1 Lone Moor Sprint Heat 1 (300 yards): 1, Shedidntseeit 1/2 fav; 2, Malmarino Ya Ya 6/4. Time: 17.76. Distance 1.25 lengths.

Race 2 Lone Moor Sprint Heat 2 (300 yards): 1, Balmarino Bound 5/2; 2, Newlodge Boy 3/1. Favourite: Villas Girl 4/5. Time: 17.58.  Distance: 1.25 lengths.

Race 3 (300 yards): 1, Hung Jury 2/1; 2, Moriartys Man 5/2. Favourite: Rockets Return 1/1. Time: 17.32. Distance: a length.

Race 4 Thursday 500 Final (500 yards): 1, Lillie Mais Boy 2/1; 2, Smurfing Mary 3/1. Time 29.18. Distance: a length.

Race 5 (500 yards): 1, Shaneboy Ace 5/2; 2, Tomeli Expert 7/2. Favourite: Alien Flo 4/6. Time: 35.61. Distance: 3 lengths.

Race 6 (500 yards): 1, Sniper Cursillo 7/2 fav; 2, Fixed Rate 3/1. Time: 29.22. Distance 5.5 lengths.

Race 7 (300 yards): Truth Be Told (walk over).
