FARM MACHINERY DESTROYED IN CULMORE POINT ARSON ATTACK

A fire in a shed in the Culmore area in the outskirts of Derry in the early hours of yesterday morning is being treated as suspicious.

A tractor, trailer, hay and an amount of building materials where destroyed in the blaze which occurred shortly after midnight at Culmore Point.

Firefighters used a hosereel jet and a foam jet to tackle with the blaze.

A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said the PSNI were requested to attend as the cause “appeared to be deliberate.”
