Derry is getting ready for another world record attempt – this time performing the dance routine to Michael Jackson’s massive hit “Thriller.”Thriller-Jackson-monsters

The event will be held at 9.00pm on Saturday, October 26 next- named Thrill the World Derry 2013 – and the organiser has called on as many people as possible to get involved  – including schools and community groups..

Thomas Anthony said no dance skills were required as training would be provided.

He said: “Anyone can learn the dance with ease using the helpful tutorial videos, online resources, dance script, and our dance classes that will be held, all of which will all be available through our Facebook page. All ages are welcome to register for this event, schools, organisations, and companies may register as a group if desired.”

He added: “Training for the performance will be offered as we intend to organise dance tuition. Our dance instructors will be available to attend schools, organisations, community centres etc, to teach those who have registered.”

The dance classes shall run for four weeks (one day/night per week) leading up to the world record attempt.

Derry’s performers will join with thousands of other people around the world to break the world record.

For more information visit “Thrill The World Derry 2013” on Facebook for registration, payment details and charities to benefit. All details of dance tuition and updates can also be found on this page.
