Derry’s own Jordan O’Keefe is to be the headline act at this year’s Halloween celebrations in the city.Jordan_O_Keefe__1738967w

The “Britain’s Got Talent” finalist will take to the “Gig Rig” from 8.20pm – 9.00pm. Also appearing will be a host of local talent for a show to be hosted by BBC Radio Foyle’s Mark Patterson.

Local music acts will provide entertainment from 2.oopm to 5.30pm with the build up to the fireworks display taking place from 7.00pm – 8.00pm.

The Banks of the Foyle Halloween Carnival Parade will leave the City Council offices on Strand Road at 7.00pm and make its way up Strand Road towards Harbour Roundabout before travelling down Queen’s Quay and back the council offices.

All sorts of curious sights and a sounds are set to feature – acrobats and dancing troupes, carriages filled with curious folk, strange creatures and mysterious contraptions and music that send tingles up your spine. All around is the sound of the clattering of bones as hundreds of souls dance their way into the darkness of All Hallows night.

Meanwhile, creative designer and marketing guru Wayne Hemingway announced details of a new interactive application to help promote the Banks of the Foyle Halloween Carnival.

He said Derry was certainly leading the way when it came to staging the most spectacular Halloween celebrations.
