A TEENAGER has faced Derry Magistrates’ Court accused of a hit and run crash last year.
Jamie Mullan, of Sherrifs Road, faces a total of 18 charges relating to the incident in the Abercorn Road area of the city last November 8.
Among the charges are:
- causing grievous bodily harm by dangerous driving;
- dangerous driving;
- having no insurance;
- failing to stop;
- failing to report;
- failing to remain at the scene of the accident.
The 19-year-old was released on £500 bail, abide by a 10 pm to 7 am curfew and abstain from alcohol.
Mullan will be back in court next month for an update on the prosecution case.
It is expected that because of the seriousness of the charges, Mullan will be returned for trial at Derry Crown Court at a future date.
