THE Western Trust, which runs Altnagelvin Hospital, is the best performing trust in dealing with patient complaints across the North.
That’s the view of a report published today by Sir Liam Donaldons and his review team.
He was drafted in last year to run a critical eye over the North’s archaic run health service.
The report reveals that 77 per cent of complaints made to the Western Trust were dealt within the 22 day stipulated time frame.
This compares to the Belfast Trust which only managed to deal with 50 per cent of patient complaints in the notified three week time frame.
