Spraoi agus Spórt in Carndonagh is currently seeking to hire an Operations Manager – Innovation & Steam.

ORGANISATION: Spraoi agus Spórt

ROLE: Operations Manager – Innovation & STEAM

CONTRACT: Full-time, permanent position, following completion of a 6-month probationary period, with a 37.5-hour working week (a 4-day working week may be considered), subject to funding.

SALARY The successful candidate can expect to earn in the region of €60,000 – €65,000, commensurate with experience.

LOCATION: The position will be based in Carndonagh, Inishowen, Co. Donegal.

The nature of the role is such that a presence on-site is important, however limited hybrid working options (max 1 day/week) may be considered once the initial probationary period is completed, but this will be subject to the requirements of the role and the organisation’s service users.

THE ROLE

The Operations Manager will lead and grow Spraoi agus Spórt’s creative and STEAM-focused initiatives in Inishowen, delivering innovative programmes and events that foster local talent, support skill development, promote enterprise, and community engagement.

They will oversee and scale a diverse range of projects including the Co-working Hub, Digital Creative Lab, Creative Makers Hub, Workability inclusive employability programme, business training, retail activity in the Digital Creative Lab, youth space for teenagers and youth festivals. The role involves developing these into larger, impactful programmes while identifying new opportunities for community-led innovation.

As part of the Senior Management Team, the postholder will manage the strategic, operational, and financial aspects of their department, ensuring full alignment with the organisation’s mission and values.

They will also work with local partners to strengthen Spraoi agus Spórt’s role as a leader in innovation, STEAM, and sustainable rural development.
