Tragic Donegal woman to be laid to rest this Friday

Susan Hamilton

A beloved mother and grandmother is to be laid to rest this Friday following her passing in a road traffic accident in Donegal earlier this week.

Susan Hamilton (nee Craig) passed away on Friday evening last following a two vehicle collision which occurred at Bunlin Bridge on the Milford to Cranford Road at around 7.30pm.

The much-loved 74-year-old was from Eirry in Manorcunningham.

Ms Hamilton was predeceased by her husband Joseph, brother James and her parents James and Jeannie.

Her funeral notice says: “Susan will be forever missed by her loving daughters Joanne (Mickey), Amanda (Gerard), Rachel (Kevin), Lisa (Stephen) and her 10 grandchildren Kayla, Joseph, Jack, Jessica, Ciara, Leighton, Jamie, Eoghan, Lily and Michael.

“Sadly missed by her brother John (Josie), sisters Margaret (Denis) and Ruby in Kildare, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends.

“Susan’s remains will be reposing at her daughter Amanda’s home in Rossbracken, Letterkenny F92 HR2K on Wednesday morning, 4th June from 11.00am to 10.00pm where all are welcome to pay their respects.

“House is strictly private from 10.00pm to 11.00am each night and on the morning of the funeral.

“Removal on Friday morning, 6th June at 9.45am to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Inch Island for Requiem Mass at 11.00am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

“Requiem Mass can be viewed on YouTube Fahah Parish.

“May she rest in peace.”
