
Bernie Cranley tragically died in A5 crash
Bernadette Crawley, 82, died when the car she was driving a silver Toyota Vitz was in collision with a blue Suzuki Vitara on the Mellon Road between Omagh and Newtownstewart.
The popular mother-of-four of St. Columba`s Grove, Ballyduff Park, Lifford and formerly of Crumlin, Dublin was well-known in the local area.
Her funeral will take place in St. Patrick’s Church, Murlog, Lifford on Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m.
The driver of the other vehicle, a woman in her 70s, was seriously injured and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The crash happened close to the entrance to the Ulster American Folk Park outside Omagh.
The following is the late Mrs Cranley’s death notice:
“The death has taken place May 24th 2025 of Bernadette Cranley (née Barron) Apt 5, St Columba`s Grove, Ballyduff Park, Lifford F93 22CX and formerly of Kildare Road, Crumlin, Dublin.
“Much loved mother of Rebecca, Simon, Nicola and Sean, dearly loved grandmother of Darcey, Louis, Lola, Patrick,
Lexie, Sienna, Kiera, Elledie and Zara and sister of Bridget, Louie, Paddy, Benny, Kay, Tony and the late Tommy, Clare, Fran and Maura.
“Reposing at her home on Wednesday (May 28th) from 4p.m.
“Funeral leaving her home on Thursday (May 29th) at 2.15p.m. for Requiem Mass in St Patrick`s Church, Murlog, Lifford at 3p.m.
“Private cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium.
“Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons, daughters, grandchildren, brothers, sisters and family circle.
Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul.
“Family time please from 10p.m. to 11a.m. and on the morning of the funeral
“NO FLOWERS PLEASE.”
