Police investigating a burglary at a church hall in Derry have charged a second person in relation to the incident.
He is to appear before Derry Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday, May 14, for a first remand hearing.
The man, aged 29, has been charged with the offence of burglary with intent to steal in relation to the incident at St. Augustine’s parish hall on the iconic City Walls, which was reported to police on May 7.
The man has also been charged with the offence of aggravated burglary with intent to steal in relation to an incident in Durrow Park in the city that was reported to police on May 12.
As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
