Cousins Eoghan (20) and Kian Dawson (16) perished in weekend Donegal crash

A second young man has tragically died following the horrific road crash on the R240 at Cross in Quigley’s Point in Donegal on Saturday night last.

Kian Dawson, 16, died at the scene of the single vehicle crash in Inishowen.

A second young man, Eoghan Dawson who is in his early 20s and is a cousin of Kian’s, was rushed to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast with critical injuries.

Gardai have announced this afternoon that Eoghan, understood to be the driver of the Renault Clio car, has also died.

Gardaí continue to appeal for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Buncrana Garda Station at 074 9320540, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.

A GoFundMe Page has been set up to help the families of the two young men to help cover the cost of the funerals.
