Speeding motorist clocked at 101mph on A5 road

Police from Derry stopped a driver doing 101 mph – 40 mph above the speed limit.

In a post on its Facebook page, Police Derry City and Strabane say: “THE FASTER THE SPEED, THE BIGGER THE MESS.

“Road Policing Interceptors from Maydown patrolling the A5 outside Derry stopped this motorist at 101mph in a 60mph section of the road.

“The driver will have a day in court.”
