AR Alarms Fire & Security in Ramelton, Co. Donegal, is currently seeking to hire an Apprentice Security Engineer as well as a Qualified Security Engineer.

Apprentice Security Engineer

Start your career in Electronic Security Systems working as part of a highly skilled team. AR ALARMS Fire & Security are a fast-growing security company in the Northwest. We are 15 Years in business to date. Due to continuing growth of the company, we are looking to recruit for the future. The Electronic Security Engineer Apprenticeship is a 4-year apprenticeship and will be spent between working onsite and in college. On successful completion of the Electronic Security Systems apprenticeship, the apprentice is awarded a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Electronic Security Systems. The role will eventually lead to you becoming a Security Engineer dealing with the installation, repair, and maintenance of;

CCTV systems, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, Gate Automation, Fire Alarms

Qualified Security Engineer

At AR ALARMS Fire & Security we specialise in the supply installation, maintenance and commissioning of Intruder alarms, IP & HD CCTV Systems, Access Control, Fire Alarm Systems, Barrier’s, and Gate Automation.

An opportunity has emerged for a Security Engineer. The role will involve the Installation, Maintenance and Commissioning of Intruder alarms, IP & HD CCTV Systems and Access Control.

Job responsibilities

  • Completing work to a very high standard.
  • Ensuring work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work on own initiative.
  • Work as part of a team and independently.
  • Must be available to be part of an out of hours roster. Not in place now but will be in the coming months.
  • The role is mostly based in the Donegal area but sometimes it will involve traveling.

The ideal candidate will have the following.

  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Fluent English.
  • Experience In IP and HD CCTV systems.
  • IP/Network Experience

At least 2 years’ experience in Installation, Maintenance and Commissioning of Intruder alarms, IP & HD CCTV Systems and Access Control. Experience in Fire alarms, Gate Automation and Barriers is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
